Feri Pilates offers personalized Reformer and Mat Pilates sessions throughout the Bay Area, along with online training programs focused on lasting strength and mobility.
Founded by Ferihan Hercan, who holds a degree in Physical Therapy and is a Certified Pilates Instructor, Feri Pilates blends movement science with intelligent, structured programming. Every session is anatomically informed, goal-driven, and tailored to the individual.
Whether you train privately in the studio or online, you are guided with precision and intention. This is not generic fitness. It is personalized movement training designed to build strength, improve posture, and support long-term physical resilience.

So much. Whether you train with me in the studio or online, the goal is the same: to help you build total body strength, improve your posture, and develop a deeper connection to how your body moves.
In private and semi-private Reformer sessions, we focus on controlled strength, stability, and alignment. You’ll strengthen your deep stabilizing muscles like your core and glutes, while also building power in your larger muscle groups. Each session is structured with intention, so you’re progressing safely and effectively.
If you’re training online, you’ll still experience anatomically informed programming designed to support mobility, balance, and long-term strength.
You’ll also improve flexibility through focused mobility work for the spine, shoulders, and hips — not just stretching, but intelligent movement that supports your daily life.
Most importantly, you’ll feel the difference. Stronger. More aligned. More confident in your body.
Pilates here is not about exhausting yourself. It’s about moving better, feeling capable, and building strength that carries into everything you do.
Try a session and experience it for yourself.

Here’s the deal. It is a low impact workout, which means you can actually do an intentional low impact activity every single day. Now does that mean you should do Pilates every single day? I would love for you to but I get it, time, access, it’s a thing. How many days a week should I do Pilates?
So ideally, you’re looking at three to four times a week, which is why an at home practice on the Mat is so ideal.

Joseph Pilates created Pilates, a method of exercise that combines physical and mental training. And he didn’t call it Pilates, he actually called it Contrology but that’s a whole other story. And he brought it to the US in the 20s. He left us in the 70s. But he was just a brilliant kind of crazy man.

Pilates is appropriate for people of any age or fitness level. Pilates' unique approach to fitness allows any level, from a beginner to an athlete, to set their goals and work on their individual needs.

No! It was created by Joseph Pilates, a man for men. Because, guess what you guys? Back in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s they did not think women should be working out. That’s a whole other thing. Trust me, it makes me roll my eyes too. So here’s the deal. Pilates is for everybody.
